BULK/LARGE GOODS
Wake County Waste & Recycling lists several locations where other types of solid waste are accepted.
Large items and bulk goods are not collected through the normal residential collection service. Options to dispose of these materials are:
- Bring items to the Wake County Convenience Center, 3913 Lillie Liles Road.
- Call GFL at 919.662.7100 to schedule a special pickup (separate charges will apply).
- Call other local waste providers to arrange private collection.
LIVE CHRISTMAS TREES
Live Christmas trees are accepted by our yard waste contractor provided they are:
- Free of any decorations (lights, ornaments, tinsel, bows, etc.)
- Meet the same size guidelines as brush (6 feet in length or less)
- Placed curbside by 7:00am on a scheduled yard waste pickup day.
Alternatively, live Christmas trees may be taken to select Wake County Convenience Centers or County Parks for recycling into mulch. To find out more about this program, please visit the Wake County site.
