Mayor's March 17 Message on COVID-19

Fellow Rolesville Residents,

The last few days have been evolving quickly. I know you find some of the information around the current situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) confusing. During this confusion, I want to assure all of you that I have been, and still am as I write this note, in communication with our Town Manager regarding town operations during this event. Town Manager Kelly Arnold and I are working hand-in-hand to make sound operational and administrative decisions during this time of crisis. We are here to continue to deliver critical town government services, a goal that has not changed.

From a health and safety perspective, I can assure you that we are not in this alone. The Town of Rolesville will work closely with our partners at Wake County Government and State of North Carolina. We will continue our trust and reliance in Wake County Public Health to provide guidance for us on how to best protect you, the citizens of Rolesville. I am also working closely with the other Wake County Mayors. Last Friday, I signed a Wake County State of Emergency Declaration along with the other Wake County municipalities.

I want to thank you for your support and understanding the past few days. It was very nice to see the Rolesville community coming together during this time of crisis to help feed our school kids. Our response to a situation like this is what gives us our small town charm.  I am confident that we will work through this together as a community.

Sincerely,

Ronnie I. Currin

Rolesville Mayor
