Town of Rolesville Announces Hiring of Town Manager

The Town of Rolesville’s Board of Commissioners appointed Eric L. Marsh as Town Manager at their regular meeting held June 4, 2024.  Mr. Marsh was hired as Rolesville’s Assistant Town Manager on November 19, 2021 and has served as the Interim Town Manager since December 2023.  A nationwide search was conducted by an outside recruitment firm, and Mr. Marsh’s skillset proved to be an asset for realizing the Town’s vision and future goals.

Mr. Marsh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from UNC Chapel Hill.  He has amassed 14 years of experience in civil engineering, project management, strategic planning, and leadership with the City of Durham, Town of Carrboro, Durham County Government, and UNC Healthcare.

In addition to holding memberships in the International City/County Manager’s Association, the North Carolina City/County Management Association, and the National Forum of Black Public Administrators, Mr. Marsh was recently recognized by Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL) as one of the nation’s 100 Top Influencers in Local Government for 2024.  According to ELGL, Mr. Marsh is “a role model in local government who is paving the way for others.”

“We truly appreciate all the work Mr. Marsh has done during his time here in Rolesville and look forward to many more years to come,” stated Mayor Ronnie Currin. “This is an exciting time for Rolesville as we continue to grow and plan for the future.”

“I’m excited and honored to continue serving the Rolesville community.  The community, Town Board, and staff are second to none," said Mr. Marsh. "Together we will continue building on the things that make Rolesville special."
