Rolesville and the surrounding area is growing rapidly and the Town has embarked on two major planning projects to help set a vision for the future. The Town has hired a consultant to assist in updating the Unified Development Ordinance, or UDO, as well as the Community Transportation Plan. The UDO is a consolidated document that contains all of the Town’s land use and development requirements: Rolesville NEXT. These requirements address specific topics and standards ranging from review procedures and zoning districts to development standards and definitions.
A Community Transportation Plan, or CTP, will establish Rolesville’s local vision for transportation and identify ways to achieve it: Rolesville MOVES. The CTP will help us coordinate with future development, establish policies and programs, and get projects funded. Transportation is an important part of our daily life in Rolesville, it affects how we move through the area and how we experience our town.
