ROLESVILLE NC, Tuesday, February 20, at approximately 8:20 p.m., the Wake County Sheriff's Office and the Rolesville Police Department responded to a distress call reporting a vehicle hit by gunfire, subsequently crashing while traveling west on Mitchell Mill Road. The incident involved a Jeep Wrangler and a dark-colored SUV traveling on Mitchell Mill Road. Shots were allegedly fired at the Jeep, leading to the vehicle veering off the road and overturning onto its side. The adult driver and a passenger were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries resulting from the crash.
The dark-colored SUV involved in the incident left the scene prior to law enforcement's arrival. Wake County Sheriff's Office investigators are diligently working to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the shooting and crash.
