UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE
The Town of Rolesville has ordinances and policies in place that help guide the development of both residential and commercial property. Below are copies of some of the forms we use.
**IMPORTANT** PLEASE READ** Although we use Wake County forms because we contract with them to do our building inspections, please don’t fax your form to Wake County. If your work is being done in the Rolesville town limits or ETJ, please fax, email or drop off your application at the Rolesville Town Hall, 502 Southtown Cir.
Residential Building Permit Application– this form would be used to apply for any construction, alteration, addition, or demolition of a residential lot or structure. See Workman’s Compensation form too.
Commercial Building Permit Application– this form would be used to apply for any construction, alteration, addition, or demolition on a commercial lot or structure. See Workman’s Compensation form too.
Workmans Compensation Form– this form MUST be attached to either a residential or commercial application.
Mechanical Permit Application– this form would be used for any individual electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC trade work. This form does not require the Workman’s Compensation form submittal.
Residential Pool Permit Application– this form would be used to apply for an in-ground or above-ground pool, spa, or hot tub.
Contractor Add/Change Form– this form would be used to add or change a general contractor or sub-contractor on an existing permit.

Development Review Procedures – this packet includes an explanation of the procedures and processes that a development will go through for approval with the Town of Rolesville. Included is the application, meeting dates, deadlines, and processes.
Petition For Special or Conditional Use Permit – this form would be used to petition the Town of Rolesville for a special use permit or a conditional use permit.
Petition For Zoning Amendment – this form would be used by anyone wishing to “rezone” a piece of land or to change any text with the Town of Rolesville Code of Ordinances.
Petition For a Variance – this form would be used by anyone wishing to petition for a variance from the Town of Rolesville Code of Ordinances due to a hardship.
Petition for Site Plan Review – this form would be used by anyone seeking to receive site plan approval from the Town of Rolesville Board of Commissioners.
Sign Permit Application – this form would be used to apply for the construction or erection of any sign within the Town of Rolesville jurisdiction.
Approved Developments In Progress – This is a map showing the developments that are in progress and have been approved by the Town of Rolesville Board of Commissioners.
