Solid Waste

Per the Town Code, all residences are required to participate in curbside solid waste collection.

The Town of Rolesville contracts with Waste Industries to collect residential garbage and recycling. Garbage and recycling waste are both collected on Tuesday across town.

All garbage and recycling service requests should be initiated through the Town of Rolesville – do not contact Waste Industries. If you have problems with damaged carts or missed collections, contact Town Hall at 919.556.3506.

Be sure to sign up for notices regarding delayed service due to holidays or weather events via the Town’s Blackboard Connect Service.

For more information on what you can recycle, please click here for the Wake County website and scroll down to the “acceptable items” section.

The Town of Rolesville contracts with Allen’s Tree Service to collect residential yard waste. Yard waste is collected on every other Monday.

Yard waste includes limbs, leaves, grass, and other vegetative manner.  There are certain guidelines for this service that need to be followed. Click here for a flyer explaining rules, regulations, and collection dates.

If you have excess yard waste, please click here for a list of additional collection centers in Wake County.

Wake County has several locations where other types of solid waste (e.g. household hazardous waste, paint, carpet, scrap metal, etc) is accepted. Click here to visit the County’s “Trash Takers” website and select the type of material you want to dispose.

Large items and bulk goods are not collected through the normal residential collection service. Options to dispose of these materials are:

  • Bring items to the Wake County Convenience Center, 3913 Lillie Liles Road
  • Call Waste Industries to schedule a special pickup (separate charges will apply)
  • Call other local waste providers to arrange private collection
